If your property has gates, how many times a year would you say your access gates get hit by a vehicle / unidentified broken gate?

Our gates open inward from the street so even if someone hits it (which they have), zero damage to the gate or our property. Can’t say the same about theirs but that’s of course not our problem

Tommy Dussault Depends on how bad the damage is/what the repair requires. A lot of times it’s just off track and my maintenance super can fix that. If we have to call out the gate company though, it’s a minimum of $85 each time for their service call fee. I just spent $850 on a board replacement last week.

Install bars/rods on the front the stick out. Think cow prods. That will stop the ramming/hitting the gate. It will put a hole in their radiator.

We have three properties with gates so it's quite eventful in our office.
On average, we have them hit at least twice a year. One property now has cameras installed to watch the gates due to vehicles pushing the gates open.
