Movie Night was created by Keri
We are going to have a movie night and show a movie on the side of our building. I'm trying to figure out what movie to show that everyone would want to watch. Any suggestions?

Hi Keri,

What a great idea... are you having popcorn & snacks too? A great way to announce the event is to make "movie posters"... then post it on your community facebook page & have some in your office so prospects can see the cool things you're doing for your residents :) Here's an example of a movie poster than FNB did... pretty cool!

As far as movies go, these are some that appeal to all ages:

Disney Classics- Lion King & Aladdin
Big Action- Independence Day & Spider Man
80's Classics- The Goonies & Adventures in Babysitting
PG13 Comedies- 50 1st Dates & The Replacements

I hope this helps! You'll have to keep us posted on how your event goes... and do share pics!

Tara

We're near-campus housing. We've done several movies in a summer series called "On the Grass." We typically start out with an outdoor potluck. International is a great theme for that. Then we shift to a short movie, something that's between an hour to an hour-an-a-half in length. Dance movies are great as are the Wallace & Gromit animated flicks. We may try something more educational next summer, something off the PBS web site "Need to Know" or "Independent Lens."

How about "The Secret"? It can't hurt to be upbeat! :)
