We are trying to prevent people from cutting our wire fence constantlyj to go through for a shortcut. I had people tell me to use a grease or Poison ivy in liquid form. Pls people any ideas
Michelle - I completely understand the issue at hand but unfortunately have no solution. I've worked at my Property now ten years and have struggled with the same issue. We have tried grease and tar with no success. The problem with planting bushes is that in areas of high traffic bushes have no chance to grow because they are constantly being stomped on by those tresspassing. To this day we repair the fence to have it vandalized mere days later. We've tried to have our staff police the areas but of course we're not here 24 hours a day so it was also ineffective. We've even tried police involvement but that didn't work either. We've been able to solve many isues here but how to resolve this issue remains a mystery. If anyone has an innovate low cost answer I'd love to hear it! Good luck to you.

We have a picket fence on the back of our property and transients keep kicking the boards out to trespass. The fire department made us put a gate in for them because trespassers might be without a way to escape in case of fire (I couldn't believe it either.)
We did put a big "NO TRESPASSING" sign up on both sides of the fence. We keep the area clear and well lit so trespassers will be noticeable. I hope to put up a heavy duty cyclone fence someday, or better yet, a wrought iron fence.
