My company's service is sold generally on a portfolio-wide basis, but often, the companies want us to invoice each property separately. I understand the need for that, but that creates 10X the amount of invoicing/collections/etc for each account. Do you all have any insight into this issue, or any advice on what I can do?
I think you have to look at if the management company is the owner of the property, or if they are managing it for other owner(s). As an example the Z Management company may own 10 properties and manage 10 other properties. So their requirements will be different. Reports the owners want to see about their properties. The bigger the company, the more complex the requirement in this area. You also have to look at regionals knowing what all of the properties are doing individually, so they can better home in on any potential problems. My own personal opinion is it is kind of the nature of the beast.
