Can anyone share a successful social philanthropy program that worked at your company? Particularly for real estate professionals, where our collective industry has taken a beating in the press, giving back to the community seems like an ideal solution to gain favor with prospective clients.
I work for the National Institute for Community (
www.instituteforcommunity.org
), a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to build quality relationship where people live and work through the power of genuine community.
One of the offerings we have is our Friendship Centres. They are set up by real estate developers to both benefit the property, as well as benefit the entire the community. The program serves the community well through its programming and services. It has served the real estate investors well by creating value for residents, keeping apartments occupied, rents positive, and showing investors that they are both unique and integritous.
