HELP ME BUILD A GIFT BASKET - I have to donate a gift basket for an MMHA Golf Outing but my brain is FRIED. If you were to win a gift basket, what would you like to see inside it?

Hi Sarah,
Chocolate is always a winner. And a nice bottle of wine, fruit, cheese, crackers.

If you are thinking of a theme and want something different. . .

Book theme: Book, decorative bookmark, book light, snacks
Beach Gift Basket:Roll-up beach mat, beach towel, sunscreen, sun hat, tote bag, Frisbee, inflatable beach ball, flip flops
Gardener: Decorative plant markers, packets of seeds, gardening gloves, garden tools, wind chimes. Terra cotta pot makes nice gift container.
Spa Gift Basket: Rolled up towels, aromatherapy candles, bath salts, body lotions, shampoos, soaps, inflatable bath pillow, loofah sponge, bath mitt, massage oil
Picnic for Two: Wicker Basket with lid, tablecloth, and dinnerware for two, wine glasses bottle of wine, cheese and crackers.
Barbeque theme: Utensils, apron, platter, potholder, cookbook, barbecue sauce, spice rubs
Coffee theme: Specialty coffees and creamers, mug, coffee bean grinder, gourmet cookies
Golf Theme: golf balls, tees, sunglasses, visor, insulated drink holder, beer or sports drink, golf towel. Container may be cooler.
Chocolate gift basket: Truffles, assorted chocolate covered anything, hot chocolate, chocolate stir sticks or spoons, goes nice with gourmet coffee

Hope this helps.

I have participated in so many silent auctions over the years and I will honestly say the baskets that go for the most amount are the ones that have liquor in them.. A martini basket or a margarita basket. Second one is a children's basket w/ arts and crafts, etc... I think parents feel guilty about spending their tickets on the alcohol that they feel it evens it out to spend a ticket on the children haha. The last one is a barbecue themed basket for the men and for woman surprisingly is a stationary basket full of pens, papers, post its, calendars...

Let me know whatcha do and how it goes!

If you do decide to go with a golf themed giftbag, I would suggest including a gift card to a club with a round or two of golf included at a nice course that they can use.

Many golfers will have their own particular type of clubs, tees, balls, gloves that they use, so it can be very hit or miss.....and they probably have too much of everything already if they are an avid golfer, but they definetly would love free rounds of golf.

Wish I had a good suggestion, I am a terrible idea man for these things.
