The Austin Police Department urged vigilance to its citizens about handling packages in the hours after the package bomber suspect killed himself Wednesday morning, reports the Austin American-Statesman.
Police Chief Brian Manley says that although it is still investigating the possibility of accomplices, “we believe this individual is responsible for all of the incidents in Austin.”
Manley urged the community to remain vigilant for possible other explosives, adding, “we do not know where (the suspect) has been in the past 24 hours.”
In an effort to keep their residents informed and to attempt to calm their fears, many apartment owners and managers in the Austin area and beyond continue to relay information from local and federal authorities about the package explosion incidents that have occurred this month.
