Tie dye is back. In fashion it’s groovy. In design it’s subtle.

I spy a hot trend! Your Instagram, Pinterest and Houzz  feeds are filling up with these must have tiles! 

Tie Dye shoes, loungewear, and tee’s are a feast for the eyes and your senses. What’s old is new again.
(Side note- Have you seen that mullets are back? Business in the front, party in the back.)

Our closets are filling with tie dye because it is comfy, cozy, and lived-in. And our tiles are following this style choice as well.

In design, this look is more of a wink to tie dye. We see this trend interpreted in zellige (pronounced Zil-eehj) tiles which are all the rage. Tiles are hand-made in various/similar tones and arranged together for a modern look.The colorations have almost a water color effect. Installing square tiles stacked gives a contemporary boho feel. No two squares are alike.Pops of retro colors from pink to blue to green are making a comeback. You can also achieve this look in a subway tile where the colors bleed in and out similar to tie dying.From bold to barely there, this look is striking for a shower or kitchen backsplash.
