By now everyone has heard of ChatGPT. This “new” artificial intelligence technology is sweeping the internet with its ability to write and communicate like a human (it’s almost creepy—right?). And we’re seeing the ripple effect from other industries that have yet to embrace AI technology. 

Teachers are panicking. 

Marketers are cheering. 

Tech developers are fascinated.

But multifamily? Been there, done that.

AI is not new to multifamily. In fact, the first AI-powered chatbot in the industry will celebrate its sixth birthday this year. But as chatbots like ChatGPT sweep across the internet like wildfire, I wonder where AI in multifamily will go next. 

We know AI cannot replace a human agent. But can this new technology help streamline the leasing and property management process beyond website chatbots?
