1.) I am SO glad I found this community. I've been in this industry for 17 years and feel like I'm the only person I know that works in PM.
2.) I'm updating my resume and my career coach wants me to quantify my achievements. For example:
Instead of saying:
Maintained the highest closing ratio among Leasing Agents
you'd say something like
Maintained the highest closing ratio of 60% among Leasing Agents.
This is a ROUGH example but you get my drift.
I'm currently a Leasing Manager overseeing a portfolio of buildings made up of approx. 1400 units. I'm looking to advance to a Leasing Director position.
Can anyone suggest some items I might be able to look into and quantify as a Leasing Manager other than occupancy and closing ratios? I'd ask my boss but we all know that won't go well.
Rather than a %, you might try a number of leasing consultants?
Achieved the highest closing ratio of a team of 10 Leasing Agents
Beyond that, what I think might work best is look up job ads/descriptions for leasing director positions. There, you should hopefully see what skills they find important for that type of position, and you can then reflect that in your resume in some way. That way, your resume doesn't match what you have been doing, but rather what you will be doing.
