Everything isn't perfect when your buildings are 30 years old.

No it can't. However focus on what can be. Your customer service, your curb appeal etc. I know that can be done.

I also expect better service when I pay more for something that hasn’t actually increased in value.

It should be as long as you can get your supplies in a timely manner. Nothing worse!

That’s why people aren’t qualifying because salaries aren’t increasing but the cost of living is.

47 year old property and people are begging to get in. Housing has really gotten out of control. Well maintained but I don't know for how long. Can not even get a semi-experienced maintenance tech hired here.

People will rent old but they won't rent dirty or disrepair.

No. Although our apartment homes are in pretty darn good condition for thei age, the demand way outweighs the supply.

Our units are clean and in good condition but not perfect and our tenants are happy. Some tenants have been with us 20 + years.

The condition of the apartment should always be as perfect as possible no matter what the rent is…… never move someone in to a unit you wouldn’t accept for your mother.
