So I'm hopping that maybe you guys would be able to share some with me that I might be able to use. I was told that money was no problem that we want the resident to feel appreciated by us sense they have gone threw so much turn over this past year. I have the office decorated with hearts and am looking into get some We LOVE You Banners and Signs To Put up. Any ideas or suggestions would be wonderful!

If your community is not to big there are local bakers near you that make be able to do a 4 or 5 inch heart shape cookie and personalize to your residents or even your community. I have also placed a rose on each residents door with a valentine.

If you allow pets I have done pet treats and that was always a big hit. Inviting the residents into your office for a chocolate fountain treat is nice as well.

Competition! Have a photography competition and ask each resident to submit a picture of the building (any view).

Post them all on wall when you invite them....vote and winner gets the prize.

Makes people feel engaged...

we have a jar of candy hearts in the office and invite the residents to come in and guess how many are in the jar. Winner gets a box of gourmet chocolates.

February is Oscar Month at our our propery, so every Tuesday night during February, we are featuring a former Oscar Winnerm - some adult, some family, etc... providing popcorn, bev's, etc. Oriental trading had great propery for movie stuff at a pretty decent cost, so we are all set...
Watch out March... Mardi Gras and king cakes here we come!

Everybody - Along with responding to Jolene, remember that we are having a big contest with hundreds of dollars in gift cards for event ideas. And one of the categories on the site is "Resident Appreciation Week"! So feel free to post any great ideas there for a chance to win!

Hi Jolene,
In February I will be doing a I <3 (heart) our residents theme! Sending a valentine greeting the door the first friday & also inviting them to an I <3 residents appreciation breakfast! I have a large property of 364 units so I am doing donuts, muffins coffee & orange juice as a grab n go kinda thing so they can pick it up n head off to work! I found a really cute coffe mug picture to put on the flyer, im attaching it to the article so if you would like you can save the image and use it as well! hope it helps..~Priscilla

I have a family property, so I have single parents, elderly, married couples, etc.

Every Valentine's Day I give my residents a little bag of candy with a little school age valentine card...they get a kick out of getting the little Scooby Doo cards or whatever theme is big that year...I'll put Valentine's Day pencils, stickers, etc. in the little bag...They seem to enjoy the flashback to their youth...

I usually give a mixture of candy, but one year I gave everybody 10 mini 100 Grand candy bars and told them they were worth a million to us...

Good Luck with whatever you do! I know your residents will love whatever you do, because you care enough to do something...Hugs...

Your 'Valentines' for residents of the property you manage just warmed my heart. Honestly, if we all approached our business activities - and home lives - with this same thoughtfulness there would be a lot more joy spread around.

Don't ever change.
