Former Residential Construction Project Manager with Property Management experience looking to make a transition.

Coming from the residential end I am looking to transition my knowledge and management skills into a property management position. Does anyone have any advice that might help my job search?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance to the group.

Hey Everybody - Brad contacted me about this and I encouraged him to post his issue on the site. Can anybody give him some guidance or a strategy to work with?

Brad - your background sounds like you would be well suited for a project manager position within a prop. mgmt. company. We have one, whose background is contruction, new home build, etc and he is one of the most knowledgeable (and requested!) staff at our corporate level. He functions to handle our trouble-shooting issues, capital improvements, etc.
The other way to go would be facilities manager.
Or maybe... just apply. If you are up for it, email me your resume, I'll take a look. [email protected]

P.S. - Getting started on Multifamilyinsiders is also a great choice!
