Going through Facebook a few days ago I noticed a picture of a Mr. Allen who won a 40" Sony HDTV from his apartment community for participating in their "Resident Survey Submit & Win contest". First of all, that's a great way to publicize the goodwill you get from a program, and plus, it ended up having a great impact on survey responses. I asked Janet Chiarella if she would share the before/after for survey responses at the communities - here is what she said:
Same store results up 7.5%. Best single community result went up from 16% to 40%. We're allocating the expense for the prize over the 36 participating communities - each will pay just $23.
