We are working on a planning guide when people create an apartment party. Would you all check it out and see what you think? Anything we should add or adjust?
By the way, I want to give a little shout-out to
Peachtree Business Products
on this one. We had planned on creating a checklist for a while, but when we started working together on one of their new products, they inspired me to actually put it all together, and this design has a lot of their early influence! Thanks Peachtree!
Hey Brent... looks awesome... I don't know if it matters but we just had a huge open house here last month and two things that were overlooked here that we had to scramble to get done was:
Make time to buy ice and fill helium balloons on the day of.
Secondly, defrost food if necessary a few days before event.
Also you may want to add a few days before the event to watch the weather to determine if plan b is necessary for an outside event!
Great idea! The only I would add is the possibility of getting residents phone numbers (always asking for permission to use for events) and doing a broadcast text to remind them of the event about an hour ahead of time. Many of my properties started doing this and it really paid off.
Great job Brent!! I am the queen of forms and I didn't have any for Resident Event!!I would suggest moving 'Set specific goals for your event. Don’t throw a party just to have a party – identify what you actually want to achieve!' from week two, to the the very top!! Sometimes we just want to have a party and forget that we need to have a goal!
Hi: I agree, checklists always make life so much easier. I reviewed very quickly, so forgive me if I am duplicating. I ask our teams to set their budget and get some prelim costs before they communicate to the residents. You pick up at 1 month prior, so maybe assuming these things are already done. Also, I encourage teams to assign specific people to each task so everyone knows who is doing what. Finally, I also encourage an event follow-up piece to determine what worked, what didn't and what you might do differently in the future. Thanks so much for sharing these items.
These are great forms and back up what I have been verbaly been trying to get my front line teams to understand... Having someone else back it and put together such great forms is very appreciated. :woohoo:
Thank you everybody for your feedback! Just made several adjustments, and the new version is live! I'll also put it in the File Bank so you can find it later.
