Got a surprising email today from TurnSocial, who has added ApartmentRatings.com into their list of integrations. Here are more details , and you can also see it in action at the bottom of that page.

What do you all think? Anybody going to try it out?

Brent, mind if I ask why you were so surprised?

This is a feature that a number of our users have been asking for, and we know that a lot of apartment companies are working hard to keep their ratings high or improve them. These companies should be proud to display their ratings front and center on their website. As with all of the apps that we've integrated into TurnSocial, you get to choose which apps you display on your site, so no company has to display their ratings if they don't want to.

I'd love to hear feedback from the community about how we can continue to improve how we display ratings (and how we can improve the rest of the bar, too). Thanks for getting the conversation started!

I think that a smart renter would look for apartmentratings.com reviews anyways, so you might as well be up front about it and make it look like you aren't trying to hide something. Hopefully you have a pulse on what apartmentratings.com reviews have said about your community and have responded appropriately. I would hesitate using it if I never responded to any of the issues or tried to solicit some positive ratings from satisfied residents.

Good point Crystal. Brent also made a good comment over on our blog , suggesting that adding apartmentratings to your community blog (which is already more focused more on existing residents) might be a good way to encourage happy residents to add reviews. I think this dovetails very well with the idea of being pro-active when it comes to addressing review related issues.

Thanks for the comment - feel free to reach out to me directly if there are any questions I can answer for you!
