Does anyone else feel like this is a cut throat industry? My brain is beginning to hurt from the companies that don’t care about their employees, are we just another number?.? I don’t want to be one of those employees whose job posting is online the day I am buried, if the good lord takes me home early. I no longer want to be that employee who’s job is posted before I am even shown the door because they chose toxicity over professionalism. I’m just tired, I think it’s time for a career change

You will find a team that isn't. Don't give up! Remember, people leave people, not companies!

It's really too bad you work for a company that makes you feel that way. I feel very important, loved, needed and supported by my management company. I can't even begin to understand how you can feel that way and continue to work for them. I don't think it's necessarily a career change, but most definitely a company change if this is how they make you feel.

I think it’s your company. The companies I worked for have always been people first.

Donje you are lucky! The very first company I worked for truly cared about their people, things have changed so much since then!

Yes it is definitely , but there are still companies, people that aren't that way. I have been lucky enough to find a company that is empowering and cares for their employees. It should be all of us working as a team , to make the property/neighbors a better place for the resident, neighborhood, and employees, to live and work.

I agree, I'm very lucky I found a company that truly cares about you. I don't make as much money as most right now, but it's finally worth getting up and going to work

I left my company for the same reasons. It was affecting my health. I'm still in the industry. I work as a compliance specialist with a company that appreciates all of us. Honestly when I started here I was happily surprised by the way they treat us. The motto on the wall at my job is.." be passionate, work hard, and have a good time"

Find the right people and you won’t feel like this at all. Sorry you are going through this

agree...and that's why I recently just left my company of 12yrs and 13yrs in the industry. Its not always the company directly however indirectly allowing higher ups to behave in such manner. Sad...but sometimes its a blessing in disguise

So sorry you feel that way, this industry can be stressful at times it is the nature of the beast. I always describe it as a love hate relationship. There are companies out there that will appreciate you

Companies don’t treat people poorly, people treat people poorly. You need to find new people. I work for a larger property management company and have worked for different people in different areas of the US. The difference in leadership is astonishing.

I work for a fantastic, caring, people first company, and I'm not ashamed to name them. GRAN, Inc, in Washington state and Colorado, have had my back since day 1. I never want to work for anyone else. I'm a GRAN employee for life.

Hey, all of you working with great caring companies, why not mention them, just curious…. I once worked for a wonderful boss, caring people, but it was indeed the company corruption I left for. Eventually so did the rest of the team…
