To be kind, encouraging and actually present for your employees. The ability to take feedback without taking it personally and getting upset. The ability to set ego aside and do what’s best for the business/team. I also truly believe that every leader, ESPECIALLY new leaders need a strong mentor. Everyone has blind spots and everyone needs support.
