We need to have more pizza parties and less raises....
Then I will get on their good side and become their #1 guy
Jk tbh it depends on the CEO. Depending on what kind of person they are would have a drastic effect on what I'd say to them to get something I wanted to happen to actually be incorporated into the company structure.
Some CEOs are business analytics metrics focused (KPI KPI)...some are entrepreneurial, some are engineers, some are actually really good leaders. Some can spot talent and some can't. Some promote based off of metrics that can be manipulated by bad actors or only achieved by people working off the clock. These are pitfalls. The best CEOs have vision, passion, leadership qualities, have a human side, and experience in their company's operations to back it imo.
Maybe instead of telling them anything id just ask them... "What kind of CEO are they, what is their vision for this company's future, and what kind of impact they would like to make on the world?" That way I can decide if I want to help them achieve their vision or just be a warm body to fill a roll in a financially driven cold hearted machine for as long as they are paying competitively.
If I was still in property management I would tell them to spend an entire day with maintenance teams on each property! I always love the show #undercoverboss and thought it would be great for our industry!
When I interviewed with the owners, he told me this was the last interview I would ever have. Recently, at my five year anniversary luncheon with the owners and the Corporate team he reminded me of how he truly meant that. I am blessed to work with such a great company . That being said, I would tell them how much I appreciate them, and how much they always have my back
