Hello! Quick Question For Everyone. Did you have to leave your current company to move up from assistant manager to property manager? If so, did you find it difficult and what management company did you get hired at?

was a sale and they would move those managers instead of promoting me. I trained all nee APMs in Texas and was sent wherever they had delinquency issues... Then I maxed in payroll and was not given a raise despite scoring above threshold for 5% (which was the max at the time). It broke my heart to leave, but I'd been in 3 markets in 6 years with them and I just couldn't wait for them to prioritize my growth!
I went to what is now called RPM & had an okay experience.... it wasn't bad or good, but I cut my teeth as a PM. I was lucky to have a friend introduce me to a VP and from there just communicated here and there fpr possible opportunities... Financially, I cannot go back, but I miss the APM role every single day.
