I am looking for some tips on tweeking my resume. I have been in Property Management for over 25 years. Sadly, it’s time to move on from where I had planned to stay for the duration of my career. I’m looking for ways to re-word Property Management tasks into things that would apply in other career fields. Anyone have tips or somewhere to send me for guidance?

I used a resume writing company. Cost money but was worth it. TopResume

I also was in industry for almost 20 years and had them gear it towards accounting roles but am now my moms full time caregiver and have no idea what I want to be when I grow up lol
Make sure you know what you want it to be geared towards if you know

Use chat Gpt. Copy and paste your resume and ask for suggestions. Talk to chat GpT like you would ask a person. “I want to revise my resume to ….”

I keep hearing they don’t want a job description on your resume just accomplishments. I wrote different resumes using both techniques and honestly didn’t get me anywhere. I think it’s my age showing and they want younger people. I hope you have great success!!! I’m sure you’re a rockstar being somewhere that long!

I recently was in the job market and had to do this and let me tell you, it’s terrifying back on the job market. You will need to look at the fields you want to go into then tweak the verbiage based on that field. You can’t generalize your experience anymore for multiple fields.

I would recommend instead using tasks in your resume, input your achievements to help you stand out!
