What interviewing question or technique have you found that works best for you when selecting a new candidate for your company?

I think that the technique should fit the skill-set of the position one is trying to fill. For example, if it is a leasing consultant, focus on the portion where they ask any questions they have, which should hopefully show their ability to pull information out of a prospect regarding their needs. Also, the follow up portion, whether a thank you letter or email, should be key. If they can't follow up for a job, are they going to follow up for a prospect?

Other than that, I always look for general enthusiasm and enthusiasm for my company in particular. I want somebody who isn't just looking for a job, but someone who is ecstatic about the idea of working with us.
