Very enlightening and informative from both sides. Seems many companies are struggling with this, and depending on the market may very well be the factor if it is a success or not...not just on how they are doing it.
Thank you for the post, it's an interesting question. It should be noted that each of the available pricing systems take a different approach (not all are built around the transient occupancy of an Airline Seat or Hotel Room, though that is one approach).
Ideally a pricing system should both increase your revenue and allow your onsite staff to focus more on leasing and taking care of your residents.
Agreed. Some drive occupancy, others drive revenue, and both will probably tell you they do both. You would believe that the occupancy would also drive revenue (which it can), however, the question is which drives revenue the greatest without sacrificing some of the identifiable points you made earlier. Got me to do some research into the different service providers and their products. This is extremely timely as a position I am currently looking at is related to revenue analysis for a company and they I believe use both. Not sure why, but we'll find out.
