I'm interested in learning about which companies/ properties are using stories to fuel their marketing. I've been very vocal on this subject and am keen to discuss this with you'll
Hey Duncan - I'm guessing there are a lot of people who don't know what "using stories to fuel their marketing" really means. Can you explain for them?
At the end of the day I think we're all doing this already. However, the type of story people are telling is what makes the difference.
What people need to ask themselves is if they are telling stories about their product or about how their product is used? Sure, people need the nuts and bolts information about your product, but hearing a story about how someone else is using your product can be powerful.
People don't buy stuff because of what's in the brochure. They buy things because of the story that comes along with the brochure.
I am a story-telling salesperson. It is one of the #1 reasons for my success. When I start to work for a vendor client, one of the very first things I do is to go out and interview/talk with their clients and develop the stories. Anyone in sales that does not doing this is short-selling themselves. Buzz me outside of this if you want to further explore some of my methods......happy to help.
