Several years ago it snowed pretty well in Houston. In Houston. I immediately tried to get the word out to apartment communities to take pictures of their community immediately while it looked pristine, because how neat would that be to have snow-covered pictures of your community in a place that hardly ever gets snow? I'm pretty sure everybody ignored me though...
What do you all do? Do you have pictures of your property during the different seasons highlighting snowy settings, colorful fall leaves, and budding flowers?
We don't get a ton of snow here, but the one time we did, I took pictures! Unfortunately, I was covering another property up on a hill and had to spend all day Christmas eve and Christmas day shoveling snow. That will teach me to cover for a vacation! I also have a great picture of a rainbow ending right at my building!
I do take photos all the time and update them on our website/facebook page. Prospects tell me all the time they appreciate the fact that our website looks up-to-date and the pictures don't lie. When I asked what they mean by that, they will tell me some property photos "must have been taken YEARS ago because when I went there it looked nothing like their pictures." Other than that, I just think it is nice to coordinate with the seasons if you have the opportunity. Now that our website was changed I have less ability to change photos but I can usually add a photo or two on the Resident page.
