Curious what everyone's thoughts are on the Apartments.com Super Bowl Ad. Did you love it? Did you hate it? Did it make you feel some other emotion? Uncomfortable? Excited? Creeped out? Are you signing a contract for a flashy Platinum package with CoStar as I type this?

Did you receive the matching card in the mail that plays the song when opened?

I'd love to read some input from my fellow PM peeps!

I think that the some of the money that Apartments.com has spent in advertising the site should have been used to work out some of the enormous bugs that the had when they first launched, and for several months later. Our company (and I believe many other companies) had numerous errors on the pages after they launched their new site last year. It was like pulling teeth to get anything resolved, even with daily emails. Enough of my rant! LOL! They are a huge force in the industry so we advertise with them. I think they could reduce their advertising a little bit and still have great results.

Meh. Don't hate it or love it. It's forgettable. Nice touch with the CoStar buidling in the back, though.

Would have been nice to see apartments featured that are more representative of what you'd actually find on the site.

And Jeff Goldblum (Brad Bellflower) still creeps me out.

Little side note about Jeff Goldblum - he did a small set with his band at the Apartments.com party last summer, and he was absolutely incredible. He is definitely a bit eccentric, but that guy is just full of charisma. One of the highlights of that conference.

That wasn't the only feedback I heard about his "performance" at the NAA event...

I have to agree that he creeps me out a bit, too. I thought the commercial was rather odd, but have felt that way about all of them to date...

When I see the HUGE investment into their marketing campaigns, I can't help but feel like I am paying too much for their services. I agree with Gayle; Maybe scale back the marketing and invest into making the site better. ;)

And I am very curious, Amy, about the "feedback" :0

I couldn't agree with Gayle more. Apartments.com has been a nightmare with all the changes Costar has made. They forget who the customer is and what good customer service is. It's all about them as far as I am concerned. I get better service and results with other sources and am seriously considering pulling ads from apartments.com. Why pay for them when everyone and their brother are on there for free including rental houses. And what is funny is that everytime I complain or comment on something the customer service or rep would say 'Oh I never heard that before." That's a lie, there are many complaints out there, they just aren't listening.

The feedback I heard is not something to be shared in a public forum.

That's probably best - probably need to keep some level of class around here!
