I got an email today from a property with this in their email signature:

How are we doing? Please let us know at apartmentratings.com

(apartmentratings.com was linked to their apartment community)

I think that is absolutely fantastic! Great way to drive positive reviews from your happy customers!

I really like that idea! My company has really struggled with trying to increase our standing on ApartmentRatings.com. As much email communication that we have with our residents, it seems like this makes it the perfect opportunity to solicit feedback with out "begging" for it!

This is a great idea! Another idea for getting better ratings is to give out a nice card with new leases and renewals to write a reveiw on apartment ratings. Who ever does we put there name in a drawing. The communities where we have implemented this simple program has increase ratings through the roof. As we all know most people that are satisfied don't usually say much. The ones that generally take the time are the ones that are upset and many of their comments are unjustified or greatly over exaggerated. If anyone is interested I would be happy to share a copy of the postcard we created.

Very brave! It's nice to see apartment communities who aren't afraid to engage residents on Apartment Ratings. Sure, there are some risks, but it also helps open up lines of communication and lets properties know what they're doing right and what they might need to improve on.

We have found that almost 75% of solicited reviews come back positive on ratings sites. In other words, the fact that you are asking for feedback in the first place usually sends a positive message to the resident. It is very seldom that we ask someone to write a review and they blast us.
I love the signiture idea!

Robert: I would love to see your card! Email is [email protected]. Our sites were gung ho but interest has kind of petered out. We need some ideas!

Recently Google has started to allow owners, or place page managers, to respond to its reviews. Might be something worth looking into.

Surely, somewhere on these message boards, there is a good guide to interacting on Apartment Ratings and Apartment Reviews websites/message boards?
