Does anyone have any data on the average percentage of prospects who receive a response when they email a community to inquire about an apartment? Additionally, what standards do you have in place to ensure these emails get a response?
We check our "leasing email" every morning and a few times throughout the day. Everybody in our office has just made it a habit. Works great and we get lots of leases!
The last statistic I heard from some of our thought leaders was around 47% are responded to with 24 hours.
Have you found any hard data on this since your initial post? This has been a hot topic for 7-8 years and I'm stunned that no one has figured out a solution to this ongoing problem.
At some point, we have to do something different if we expect different results. I am beginning to wonder if we are "trying to fit the circle into the square".
Thanks to Lead2Lease, I finally found some solid data on response rates for prospect emails! According to a Lead2Lease study, 55% of email leads never receive a response. 55%!!!! I have to stick to my guns and say again that responding to all calls and emails (whether prospects or residents) within 1 business day is both a retention and marketing strategy that will pay off!
