I say, we have people who have service animals or emotional support animals and leave it at that.

There’s really not much you can say. Acknowledging to resident A that resident B has an ESA or service animal basically makes a nod to resident resident B that they have a disability.

I remind them that service animals and ESAs are exempt from breed restrictions and not all animals are merely pets.

Exactly like that. Therapy animals and service animals are not considered pets

In very general terms state that according to the law some people require a reasonable acomidation and sometimes this allows tenants who ask for an accommodation and provide documentation for the accommodation we have to legally follow. That is the law and our company policy. But leave it generic and to the facts, no specifics at all!

I would say not all animals are pets. Offer to give them the property policies if they would like more info.

Get to know your neighbors. I'm not allowed to tell you personal information about anyone, just like I'm now allowed to tell anyone else personal details about you. If you want to know, ask them. If they're willing to tell you, they will.

The animal you are referencing is in compliance with our lease and the law, beyond that I am not able to discuss other residents.
