Feedback needed!

If your company pays an Employee Referral Fee when a person helps to recruit a friend to the organization, can you please share the following?

- Is anyone excluded from being eligible to receive an Employee Referral Fee? (For example, the hiring supervisor can't get paid because it's basically their job to hire) If so, who?

- Are there any time limitations on the payment? (For example, the new hire has to make it 90 days before...

Lauren Niziol Hello. It's common for someone in HR or the direct supervisor of the applicant to be excluded.

I would recommend a minimum time frame that the new hire should be employed before the benefit is paid out. Can be whatever you prefer and whatever is easiest to track...30 days, 60 days, 90 days. Maybe lining this up with other milestones that will occur after someone's hiredate would make it easiest!
And as always...have a clear policy document! ☺

Angel Rogers We have a $500 employee referral program that HR is not eligible for (but we get other perks and are taken care of!)

Donna Blackman We have a $300 referral fee. This is paid out when the new hire is there for 90 days. HR is not eligible

Megan Goodmundson - not eligible if they apply/get hired to a position in your down line. -first half (250) paid after 6 months. -second half (250) paid after 1 year. (Most of think the times are too long, we would prefer 90 days and 6months)
Also not eligible id they are a returning employee

Guest Insider $500; 6 months; I doubt recruiting or HR can get it unless they did not partake in the hiring process for the referral.
