Guest InsiderBrad Birchfield can you share your google review compition requirements please and thank you
Guest InsiderKim McCuin we have monthly team meetings and whichever maintenance guy gets the most in a quarter wins. Name mentioned in the review or based on who completed the work order if not named. Has to be a 4 or 5 star to count.
Guest InsiderI report directly to the owner. He never even responds to my emails. I just do what I think is right. I feel lost sometimes.
Guest InsiderPays me and lets me do my job and stays out of my way it’s the simple things! My last two companies micromanaged and I couldn’t stand that.
Guest InsiderKim Butterworth not a fan of that either!
Guest InsiderFollowingI have lunch delivered to their sites, Catered continental breakfast bi monthly for our meetings , I just handwritten each of them a card as to why I appreciate each one of them. I seriously have a great team, which wasn’t always the case
Guest InsiderWell today after work me and my daughter went and got stuff to surprise my team in the morning. I left a thank you card with a $10 wawa gift card for everyone at their desk/in the shop and I left flowers on my office girls desks as well. (Maint doesn't want flowers lol) My regional often comes and brings us little things she saw and thought we would like. Usually just dollar store stuff but she knows us well enough to pick things we enjoy and honestly her taking the time to learn about us means more than the gift.
Guest InsiderI also bring them food I cooked or veggies I grew. It's not always spending money, just showing I was thinking of them and grateful for them.
Guest InsiderI buy lunches for the whole leasing staff and before covid, I purchased tickets for a monthly outing to the comedy club so they could let their hair down and enjoy, the maintenance staff got a nice wings and pizza lunch on Fridays and before covid a fishing party once a month on a fishing boat with a full cooler of beer or a paintball outing against a rival complex, it was my way showing how much I appreciate them for all they do
Suan TinsleyWe just gave all of our site team members a $200 bonus to thank them for their hard work. I am confident that our managers show their appreciation in many ways. I’ll send some ideas after I reach out.
Guest InsiderLunches, half day Fridays PD off, golf outings, tour bus outings, jus fun stuff
Erik McKinsterI think I’ve got a unique owner… every time I hit a big milestone like, hitting 100% on all three properties, she’ll take the whole crew & spouses to Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse - Houston for dinner. I got a $100 gift card to My Pillow for my birthday. $1000 bonus for helping do my part (aka my job) getting her refinance through without a hitch. The best one was one free pay period as a bonus, just because of inflation. I’m never leaving her!
Guest InsiderHonestly, I work for an amazing company... we have excellent benefits, life long work family... we are told all the time we are appreciated, we get a BIRTHDAY BONUS every year...a bonus because we were born On top of the monthly bonuses, the year end bonuses, we have paid holidays, vacation, honestly when you work for a company that does all this plus pays our medical for employee and children... I can't even say it's the little things.... I WOULD NOT EVER WANT TO WORK ANYWHERE ELSE, our corporate and owner makes sure that we know we are appreciated... and I'm grateful
Guest InsiderOnce she held a Pizza partyShe lets me keep the notepads that vendors drop off Last week she let me go home at 5:30She shares a box of kotex with the office and she pays for it with petty cash
Becky DotsonWe have a kudos option on our employee page. I try to give kudos several times a week to different people. My team like me to cook for them. I will various things depending on the time of year. Fall/winter their favorite is my venison chilli. Tacos goes over great too. I have done homemade sausage biscuits and even did a sausage, biscuit and gravy breakfast.
Stacy NorgardWe have a Regional Team for my RVP in Microsoft Teams. We hold contests giving out random bonuses for lease renewals, we play bingo for logowear, we have calendars with all the days such as "banana split day" and we try to celebrate a couple of those a month with a treat and time away from the property or as a team. We cut our staffs loose early the day before a holiday. We also did a spring scavenger hunt and will do one in the fall. We also have Trivia Tuesday once a month for PTO for the team - combines learning with fun. I try to send handwritten appreciation cards out to all the properties two or three times a year. We are gearing up for some Halloween fun on-site. Sometimes it is difficult for them to break away - especially during the summer when so busy. I also hold a virtual happy hour with my team once a month - we play a game and I give away prizes. This is Manager level only to let them have some fun. But every little bit helps I hope.
