Homemade goodies from residents…
Do you ever eat them?
I am Collections and a resident made and bought in for a team member a big Tupperware of cookies….
Guest InsiderYes, a lot of my residents were bakers or sold special goodies. Made me extras from their soul food to fajitas. Chocolate covered strawberries and pies. Loved my residents and they loved me. I got flowers, cards, gift cards, medicine gift basket after I had surgery. If you think someone has bad intentions obviously don’t but for me I have always had great relationships with people and I’m glad cause they were good to me to!
James ShannonOnly if I know the resident. Meaning, leased them, have done a walk through or something. And I ask Maintence how their unit looks, if they know.
Diana WalkerOne good thing about annual unit by unit inspections. You know whose kitchen you can trust!
Dave ScruggsDiana Walker NO, they just clean up for the inspections! I have a few like that....lol
Guest InsiderDave Scruggs that's right wouldn't eat anything from a resident
Guest InsiderResidents trying to get you High for sure. No way on homemade food of any kind. LoL
Guest InsiderNever ever. Goes straight in the trash and then I tell them how delicious it was.
Guest InsiderOnly from my resident who is a professional chef, never from anyone else!
Guest InsiderOnly if I know the resident and how they keep their unit. My first property I’d likely trust nearly everyone, my second - no way.
Guest InsiderI have a few residents that like to bring us treats and most I will eat. I have been here almost five years though and know the residents pretty well. Now, if I recently handed a resident a violation notice and then bring in some cookies, I’m not touching them.
Erin RichardNEVER. I had a resident bake me cookies, I trashed them immediately, and then the next 2 years she always asked me about how much I liked him. I know she tried to poison me!!! I was the assistant manager!!!
Guest InsiderI never trust anyone elses cooking, could be a trip to the John for the day.
Guest InsiderMy first Christmas at a property my staff encouraged me to try Mrs. M's cookies. Ew. They tasted like licking an ashtray. Never again.
Jonathan WeatherfordHard pass. I always thank them make a note of what they brought. The next time I see them I say they were delicious. However they go to the circular filing cabinet immediately (trash can).
Jennifer HallLmao. I have had some of the best food from great residents. Not all are bad.
Guest InsiderI don’t… I had this one resident who brought me “gumbo” like 3 times and every time I threw it straight in the trash. Sorry not sorry
Guest InsiderI received a ziplock bag of chili last week.... I'll ask my trash can what it thought of it and get back to you lol i walk the apartments so that's a hard pass on resident homemade anything
Samatha FigarellaI ask maintenance how is the apartment and obviously if we are on good terms then I may try some, but if my guys tell me the apartment is gross and they always see the cat on the counter then no. If we are good terms and this 60 year old brings me cookies who I have seen the home, or my guys have then I will. They spent their money and wanted to say thank you. But if it's an apology treat, I say thank you and then feed it to my husband... lol JK!
eric riveraNEVER!!! I accept them and thank them and toss them!!! I've seen how people and also how they think theyre dogs are humans!!! Dogs are NOT humans!!!
