Hi Again,
I had the question about my leaking windows last week. Now I have another question for Vendors (and any experienced PMs with remediation like this).

I had the question about my leaking windows last week. Now I have another question for Vendors (and any experienced PMs with remediation like this).

This is how the vendor left our living room. Just exposed. I thought when they left yesterday ok, they said they found minimal damage, they said they sprayed an anti-microbial spray as well. But now I’m looking at this and the insulation is fiberglass. I have kids. My living room is in this state til who knows when. We can’t get a Christmas tree til they are done. I’m just so annoyed.
Is this safe to be exposed like this? I feel it should still be covered up. It’s not like they pulled the insulation out to check behind that. They didn’t pull the drywall off the far right window either.
I feel like they were very hush hush in my apartment yesterday and the manager is downplaying it.
There was only plastic sheeting up while they worked. They took it down and there is zero plastic sheeting up now.

I would follow up with the PMC. They need to do better.
I just don’t get why they’d take the plastic sheeting down from the area and yeah leave drying equipment out.
We’ve done our best to block off the area from our kids but it makes me uneasy. God forbid I have my back turned for a second and then turn around to find they’ve slipped through the barricade and messing with it.
It’s ok to have it not covered- Gotta leave it for a few days to air dry before the finish. Remediation looks good too with no signs of mold or mildew that I can see.
If they haven’t done a water test yet, they should and likely will. By forcing it to leak, it will help them pinpoint the problem and plan the repair.
Sounds like they have a solid plan if they follow through with the next steps.
