TW!
A community I manage has experienced several DV (Domestic Violence) incidents that are causing other residents to feel unsafe. How have you all dealt with this? We obviously can't control guests, but we, unfortunately, have to absorb all of the blame for their actions.

Anne Sadovsky Most leases say the residents have the right to peaceful enjoyment of their apartment home. That’s a big promise considering that in the real world, there will be domestic violence incidents. Police arrive with lights flashing, sirens singing. (Usually at 2 in the morning!) Most states require us to allow the aggrieved resident to relocate within the property, or if necessary to let them out of their lease without penalty. Typically, it is a woman, often with children, but not always. Communication helps. A letter to residents explaining that “we are working on a solution, please be patient” will help.
