We were just in this unit 2 months ago for their bi-monthly preventive inspection and it wasn’t like this.

Had a resident that when he moved out, left over 100 empty Evan Williams bottles neatly stacked taking up most of the cabinet space and even in the drawers. He was a known alcoholic. Young guy. Wrecking his life. Our trauma makes us want to crack jokes, but we are seeing people’s worst demons. Life altering/ruining mental health issues. We need to remember to have grace and understanding with residents like them. We might be the only way they can get the help they desperately need.
