I was talking to a friend the other day about a meeting she attended a few days before, and she said, "That was another meeting that could have been an email."That made me laugh. We have ALL been in those meetings! (And, if we're honest, we may have also led those kinds of meetings too.)Leaders this is crucial...if you want to keep your people encouraged, motivated and productive (in general and when you really do have to have a meeting) don't have unnecessary meetings!Your people will thank you! ????*Source: Harvard Business Review

Kara Rice Some meetings are inevitable, of course. But when they happen, make sure they're productive. Here are some of my thoughts to make meetings feel worthwhile: Only relevant attendees required to be there (Don't make people attend if it doesn't pertain to them!) Distribute an agenda in advance so folks are prepared. Follow the darned agenda. Clearly outline next steps before the meeting wraps. End on time. What other suggestions do folks have?
