Review yourTech partners and tech partners you want to deploy and ask how agnostic the PM software you’re looking at is.
1. Does the PMS integrate easily
2. Probe their answers for clarification; they might integrate with one aspect of a product and therefore claim “integration. Semantics can trip you up. Some PMS allow their own tools as opposed to your tech of choice.
3. Is your data kept in silos?
4. Is your data easy to access?
5. What are true integration costs for operators AND supplier partners?
6. What’s the implementation time?
7. Is ongoing training available?
At the end of the day, think about PMS as Mr. Potato Head…can I put the mustache, eyes and hat anywhere I choose, or is it a just a doll with a painted on smile?
