Okay, you've clogged your kitchen sink. What now? It doesn't affect the landlord one bit. You can use your bathroom sink for your cooking and cleaning dishes until he can get over there and clear it. And he can charge you if he suspects you poured grease down the drain. And you just invited him in so he can do a cursory inspection of your apartment for lease violations while he's there.
