When your flooring installer tries saving you money by taking a shortcut on proper prep work.
Jason MalletteNo.. they weren't trying to save you money.. they were trying to get to the next job.. probably on site right there.. bcuz we get "discounts" for multiples.. no self leveler, no removal of the last 10+ years of flooring.. no pet seal.. they didnt roll the vinyl out, etc...
Guest InsiderI once scheduled a carpet replacement with new vinyl @ the entrance. The flooring installer told me he wouldn't repair the floor because the wood was damaged. So I had to cut it out and put in the plywood for him really quick before he would pour the self level down. It wasn't what I was planning on doing that day and luckily I had some scraps and a saw kicking around ???? but it got done.
The flooring installers usually do not replace wood from my understanding. And sometimes they flop before everything is dry too.
Guest InsiderThat is definitely not acceptable!! That does not look like the work of a technician it looks like somebody they picked out of the parking lot at Home Depot in the morning ????♂️
