Needing a Concrete Scrubbing Machine for our stairwells. No drainage so needing one that sucks the water back up.
Any good suggestions for machines ?? Thank you!!
Chris FinettoBest bet, hire a company that uses a truck mounted steam cleaning machine for floor tile and grout. Stanley Steamer…I had similar issues with several buildings over the years. Once I had the stairs cleaned, we treated with sealer and some we painted. Once painted, you can use a damp mop to clean.
Guest InsiderChris Finetto did it get the stains out? Dramatic difference? We’ve tried everything under the sun seems like and it looks the same
Chris FinettoYes, looked like new. There were some stains that jist couldn’t come out and that when we painted the treads. That was the best solution.
Sherri VittatoeChris Finetto we used a company that scrubbed with a recovery; however the stains and dirt discoloration never changed. 2 yr old property so everything was still new. Following for a better solution!
Mark TanguayI would try a carpet extractor first. I don't know of any mechanical scrubber that will do what you're asking other than good ole fashion elbow grease.
Jessica SideriusSteam them!! No water and it has worked well for us at a property set up like this!
Guest InsiderJessica Siderius what did you use to steam them?
Marty LaxKaivac makes a machine that has an attachment that sprays pressure and vacuums at the same time. You would need a small portable scrubber to be able to get each stair. We use a doodle scrub by Square Scrub.
Nicholas ClaytonThanks Marty! Does it reclaim the water, by any chance?
Marty LaxNicholas Clayton yes it has a vac and recovery tank.
Guest InsiderDo not ever paint stairs!!!! I see this all the time (I've even tried it on my own properties), and it looks like hell within 6 months. It will cost you a fortune in the long run because you will need to paint them every year. Epoxy will also fail. You need to find someone who can do a polyaspartic coating. It's difficult to scratch or stain, and cleaning is a breeze. This is the only product I will ever use on stairs or breezeways - unless someone invents something better.
