Guest InsiderYes, watched it with my own eyes on a sister property where the staff had been there over 18 yrs!
Seller from California at one time, was like family and relied on his staff for everything!
He was able to get everything needed for the sale, but left that staff out completely on the bonuses! đ¤¨
Anonymous memberThis is terribleâŚbut were they told they were getting bonuses and then they didnât get paid??
Guest InsiderAnonymous member yes! Absolutely! If they helped get all documents and help with transition, bonuses for all⌠Didnât happen, and at Christmas time a year ago.
Guest InsiderItâs sad.
But my take from it all, is take care of you and your family. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut, not promises of others. đ
David TroupI guess it would depend on how it was communicated. If the âbonusesâ were severance pay, then I can see not paying them to people whose employment was NOT severed and they continued on with the property.
But if the bonuses were retention bonuses and people had been told theyâd receive them if they stayed until the end, they should get them, regardless whether or not they are hired by the new owner.
