Apologies if already discussed:
If your property no longer has size or breed restrictions, how has the experience been from the management side?
Guest InsiderWe haven’t had any issues. The owner is all about pets even waiving some fees when they show proof of adoption. No weight or breed restrictions here.
Tamie PoeNo issues that we didn’t have with a restriction. In fact now I can get fees vs the dog becomes and ESA and lives there anyway.
Amber BellWe haven't had but 1 issue. And that was at the fault of the owner because he didn't not secure the gate in the dog park. His dog was able to open the gate by pushing on the fence. Luckily my dog was the one attacked protecting me, as that dog charged us. He immediately was given a violation and had to remove the dog from the property. (my dog won, protecting me...lol)
Guest InsiderBest choice we ever made. No issues at all.
Guest InsiderSo I live at a property that has gone from breed restrictions to no breed restrictions. What I’ve noticed being on the resident side, the poop not getting picked up is HUGE lol.
But then also there’s another resident who lives here with her 2 pit bulls, her dogs attack other dogs. They’ve attacked my neighbors two frenchies. Then they’ve even attacked my dog - who had his back turned & was just peeing.
We’ve been at the same property for 3 years and never had dog attack issues before. Could be a coincidence but
Laura RenaldoHow do You get around the insurance breed restrictions?
Guest InsiderNo issues at all ... makes leasing great bc everyone else has restrictions...we still have a limit to how many pets.
Guest InsiderI have not been able to switch no restrictions, however with as many residents I have with restricted breeds being ESA I can’t tell you I have had any issues. Matter of fact the issues I have had have been with dogs that fall within the restrictions but have poor owners.
Guest InsiderOnly issues we have and will forever be an issue is pet owners not picking up poop.
