Guest Insider Feels pointless. They know when rent is due. They’re choosing when they wanna pay it regardless.

Guest Insider Some people need the reminder. That it is rent day. I used to stay open until seven and people complained that I should have the office open longer.

Brooke Kibler Send an email, post on your social media pages. To me, when it’s a bandit sign like this- you’re telling people you’re residents aren’t responsible or mature enough to remember rent and need a literal physical sign. I feel like there’s other ways to remind your residents.

Guest Insider Seems very unnecessary unless you manage a home for aging adults with onset Alzheimer's. Use a payment portal and send reminders to the habitually late payers if you need to. Everyone knows what the 1st of the month is. We would post reminders like this to our digital bulletin board in the app or Facebook.

Guest Insider Tacky ????. People that rent apartments are adults. Adults know when bills are due.
-Signed a severely adhd woman who forgets all deadlines and lives by a calendar with 10000 reminders ????

Courtney Deason My last community we used one that reminded people about their online portal.

Kristie Bunting Responsible payers don't need reminding. Irresponsible ones don't care about a sign. It's a waste of money and off putting to prospects.

Guest Insider It takes 7 positive interactions to overcome 1 negative. And paying rent isn’t considered a positive interaction by your tenants.
Keep people focused on the positive you do.

Judy Green Well there would be no excuse not to pay on time however you might need it in a few different languages just to be fair!

Guest Insider My mortgage company doesn’t come by and put a sign in my yard that says “mortgage due”……..

David Snyder Tacky, rude and not very professional IMO. But in the end, it depends on what company you work for, the property, and the level of professionalism that’s maintained.

Julie Curtis I mean, a lot of properties with online payment portals send out email reminders… if your property has a demographic that isn’t online it may not be a terrible idea. You have to target your demographic

Brenda Boyd I can tell you it works for much of our portfolio. We use them selectively.
