Does anyone have any experience with allowing birds as pets? It's two birds in a cage, and I feel like it would be fine. I'm not sure what problems they could cause, but would love to hear some feedback! Would you allow them?

Guest Insider I have worked in a couple of communities where they are on the list of unapproved animals. If it doesn’t say it specifically in your lease you should probably be ok.

Guest Insider Fair housing laws state if it's a support animal(s). You have to allow.
Pet wise? I'd be ok while following pet rules and fees.

Guest Insider You need to regulate that they be kept in the cage and not allowed to be flying around the apartment. I had one that destroyed all the blinds -chewed them to pieces, and sh!t all over the walls!

Guest Insider If you allow birds, some types of birds should be given serious consideration before allowing. Parrots especially, and maybe some others, can be quite loud, and could easily be a noise complaint issue.
