Hi All! Having an industry discussion on post-pandemic leasing skills and I wonder what you all see as the leasing skills our industry needs to develop today vs. 2019. In your opinion, what NEW leasing skills lead to getting that lease?

Khara House Not speaking specifically to my team but I've heard within the industry: setting new and existing resident expectations, hospitality training (vs traditional "customer service", and navigating digital sales and relationships

Karen Kossow Agree with flexibility in meeting the customer where they want to be. Willingness and ability to be videotaped doing an apartment tour for use on websites, etc. But then also, just the basics. Understanding them and why they're important (lead response content and time, follow up, etc).

Laura Bruyere As for a 'new skill' getting really good at video tours. Get comfortable with being on camera & how to hold, tour & show & sell at the same time

Kristina Janis Alot of people who have had covid still get that super tired feeling. It takes months to go away. I think involving physical activity classes and mental help classes would help. You take care of your employees they will want to go that extra mile. Also motivational speeches to get then back to being excited and motivated. It may seen people don't want to work, it's not that. The pademic has done a number on people.
