Guest InsiderI have a quarter sleeve, wrist tattoo and finger tattoo. My management doesn’t care
Guest InsiderI don’t understand why this is even a question anymore.
Guest InsiderNo policy against tattoos showing, there is a rule about piercings but it’s not enforced. (I think it’s an older rule that is just still on the books)
Guest InsiderAll are welcome except for throat tattoos, and anything offensive
Guest InsiderNone! I am a regional with several exposed tattoos including my hand. I guess the one tile we have is, if it’s offensive, it can’t be visible
Kathi MarieKelsey Ball none for us also. All of my tattoos are inspirational/beachy theme so there’s nothing inappropriate. Thank goodness. Now if I still work in healthcare, that would be a different story I’m sure.
Guest InsiderMost places are OK as long as it's not offensive. I have visible tattoos on my arms and it's all good
Guest InsiderI worked somewhere with a no visable tattoo policy. I have one on the inside of my wrist and don't generally cover it up. My regional didn't even notice it until almost 4 years in, while we were having a conversation about not hiring a maintenance person because of tattoos... I simply turned my wrist over...
Guest InsiderIdc we gotta get out of this stigma. Drs have tats, nurses have tats. Cops, lawyers, judges have tats. Firemen, EMTs, city and government leaders. The list goes on. I'm hiring someone who can do their job and do it effectively, effectively, with good customer service skills, ability to handle pressure and make hard decisions and a whole slew of other responsibilities. Tattoos do NOT represent someone's work ethic or their ability to do their job.
Guest Insider100% allowed. Requiring people to cover up is archaic.
Chad ChristianAs long as they aren’t offensive they should be fine! It is 2023!! Any company that doesn’t allow them needs to jump into this century fast
Guest InsiderBut I know quite a few on the office side with visible tattoos and some with facial piercings (mostly noses)
Kathy SweeneyAs long as they aren't offensive tattoos
Lori AgudoAllowed as long as it’s not perceived as vulgar or offensive.
Guest InsiderMine allows my tattoos and septum piercing
Samatha Figarella15 years ago it was a hell no. Had to be covered but now I don't know many companies that care pending the above exceptions. I personally don't have any but I think my whole team does, no one cares anymore.
Rochelle KirkNo neck, face or head tattoos. Visible ones must be in good taste meaning no nudity, sexual, or vulgarity. We also don’t allow facial piercings. At our luxury senior living communities, no visible tattoos or facial piercings.
Guest InsiderI don't know what our company handbook actually says. As a manager, I don't really care as long as the tattoos aren't vulgar. Face and neck tattoos may be a question mark for me, but I haven't actually encountered that scenario yet.
Chris FinettoNo “gang” signs, prison style crap. No face or neck tattoos. No face piercings. Although the inconspicuous nose ring pops up every now and again.
Judy GreenNothing everyone almost has some kind of Tattoos and I have never had anybody refuse to lease because of a team member having a tat. I only do Class A lease ups
Guest InsiderThey are fine as long as they aren't offensive
Guest InsiderNo face tats in the office at least and as long as they aren’t vulgar they’re fine. By banning tats all together companies/owners slash their local talent pool that is already thin and competitive.
Guest InsiderWe allow visible tattoos but any tattoo displaying profanity, violence, nudity, or any other derogatory image isprohibited and must be covered. Facial tattoos are also not allowed.
Guest InsiderThey are allowed, just not on face or neck.
Megan GoodmundsonThe style guide of my company says something to the affect of “we want you to be your true authentic self. Blah blah .. as long as your expression is workplace appropriate and not found to be hateful or offensive …” says it leaves workplace managers to their discretion.
Guest InsiderI was told at an interview that my resume was outstanding and I was exactly what they were looking for, but that 2 inch wrist tat was an issue! Lol
Brittany StroudAs long as they are not offensive and you are not opposed to covering if needed. Always think team members should use their best judgment. We are professionals (most of us... lol) and should be willing to make guests comfortable in a professional setting.
Guest InsiderCan’t wait to see this age group when they turn 50-60 nose’s rings, tattoos
Guest InsiderHad a leasing agent recently with face tattoos. We really don’t care as long as the work gets done
Karen MallingerNothing offensive, and no face tattoos. Otherwise visible tattoos are fine.
Mark TanguayI don't think we're required to get one. I don't have any and nobody has said anything about it yet.
Sherry Tompkinsno piercings and no visible tattoos. So if you have sleeves you must wear long sleeves to cover them. funny this is mentioned. our company is cracking down. i don't have any so it's not an issue for me. but it must be a pain to those with tattoos.
