Does anyone live on site? Does you regional inspect your apartment? They just started this and I have a brand new regional so I'm not sure what they are looking for... I hate people to come over and it's not perfect so this is making me crazy. (I have no idea even when she will walk my apt but the thought drives my ocd nuts.)

Brittany Stroud Ummmm...Regional here. That is super bizarre, honestly. Prev maint. walks OK for all units, but singling out employee units is a certain kind of mgmt cray. Beware! Prob. want to see that policy in writing. Just seems like a liability.

Guest Insider Brittany Stroud I would agree if it was just the employee unit but If normal process is to inspect, then the unit should be inspected. When a resident wants to transfer , we inspect before we approve the transfer , so if an employee wanted to transfer I would stick with the same process .

Guest Insider Brittany Stroud every Regional if wise would inspect their employees apartments just as they do all other residents. I think this is why it is the Regional doing it and not the site team. It is a level of courtesy I gave so that an employee doesn’t feel like their co-workers are inspecting. No employee should have an issue with it. The Regional is worried about the asset not their dirty dishes. 😊

Guest Insider I live on-site as the PM and while we don’t inspect employee units, it’s not unusual. We are held to the same standard as residents living on the property; so she still should give you notice of when she will inspect your apt if she does

Lynn Smith I was going to say same thing. With that said. You also should receive the same notice as a "regular " resident for inspections.

Guest Insider I am a Regional Manager and we inspect employee units annually when we conduct our annual unit by unit inspections.

Brooke Frederickson We inspect on-site employees in a similar way that we do occasional inspections of any residents apartment.

Guest Insider I think they should be inspected and treated like you would any other resident . If you are uncomfortable with that , you can live at your competitors and let their management team inspect . I’m not sure why anyone would have an issue .

Katie Crothers My Regional does not, but my home is included with our normal Annual Unit Inspections along with my maintenance techs that live on site and an employee that works for the company but lives at my property. It doesn't bother any of us to be honest.

Guest Insider I feel like this is normal if it's yearly inspections ect. Now if it's just randomly as they please, that would be 100% different. As many have stated, residents are inspected. Employees would be the same for safety checkups ect. I'd be fine with it. But, if it's like every week or something odd. That's different haha. I mean I'd let them but it would be strange lol.

Sherrie Kasprowicz As a regional, yes we still inspect employee occupied units. We still have to check for fire, safety, and proper function of things like furnaces and plumbing. Our employees who live onsite still have a lease and are expected to follow the same standards as any other tenant.
